Ideal for a Christmas present.

This is a collection of 20 short accounts and poems, which are very easy to read and some quite moving. The Woodcarver is a particular moving story where one of the pupils has to finish reading a Christmas story due to the teacher not being able to read it as the tale was too emotional. I can relate to this, when I taught up in Yorkshire and was talking of a friend of a friend who drowned in a river, I said the river returned the body in the same spot he was lost a week later. My eyes watered and I'd like to think that my pupils saw a different side of me.

Available from bookshops, Amazon, and Waterstones as well as many other places.
